A Donald Trump Pop Quiz

By Eric Segall

In light of the holiday weekend, and the upcoming national travesty we call a Supreme Court confirmation hearing, I thought I'd lighten the mood just a tad with a pop quiz about our President. These are true and false questions. The answers (and a few editorial comments) are below.

1) Trump publicly stated that his father Fred Trump was born in Germany, even though there is no doubt that Fred was actually born in New York.

2) Trump publicly said his father Fred invented ketchup.

3) Trump once tweeted this: "Sorry losers and haters, but my I.Q. is one of the highest -and you all know it! Please don't feel so stupid or insecure, it's not your fault." (For context see Question 24).

4) Trump once tweeted that "we cannot allow all these people to invade our country. When somebody comes we must immediately with no judges or court cases, bring them back from where they came."

5)  Trump once said, about his father Fred, that he wanted to "bring him back from where he came" meaning Fred's home town of New York City, Germany.

6) In 1980, Trump would call Roy Cohn, once Joseph McCarthy's right hand (actually middle finger) man, 15-20 times a day for advice.

7) Roy Cohn's middle index finger theory of life was "1. Never settle, never surrender. 2. Counter-attack, counter-sue immediately. 3. No matter what happens, no matter how deeply into the muck you get, claim victory and never admit defeat.”

8) Adhering religiously to the Book of Cohn, Donald Trump has been involved in over 3500 lawsuits.

9) Trump once said: "I like kids. I mean, I won’t do anything to take care of them. I’ll supply funds and she’ll take care of the kids. It’s not like I’m gonna be walking the kids down Central Park."

10) Trump's Father Fred once said, "Ah kids, I can take them or leave them (in Germany)."

11) Trump said the following about prenuptial agreements: Believe me, there’s nothing fun about it. But there comes a time when you have to say, ‘Darling, I think you’re magnificent, and I care for you deeply, but if things don’t work out, this is what you’re going to get.’”

12) Trump, employing his well-known business acumen, passed up a chance to buy the New England Patriots in the 1980's because he thought the team was a bad investment.

13) Shortly after terrorists tragically killed 12 people at the offices of Charlie Hebdo Magazine, Trump (Mr. Middle Finger, Jr.,) Tweeted this: "If the morons who killed all of those people at Charlie Hebdo would have just waited, the magazine would have folded - no money, no success!"

14) Trump companies have filed for bankruptcy six times (admit it you thought it was four, but is this really true?).

15) Trump is a serious investor in the WWE, but he and Vince McMahon have a prenup (and a codicil which bars Trump from dating Vince's children, any of them--see No's 20 and 22 below).

16) A few days before the funeral of former First Lady Barbara Bush, Trump tweeted with great sensitivity: "Heading to the Southern White House to watch the Funeral Service of Barbara Bush. First Lady Melania has arrived in Houston to pay our respects. Will be a beautiful day!"

17) A few days after Hurricane Harvey devastated the city of Houston, and the sun finally came out, Trump said, "O What a beautiful morning" and started singing the soundtrack to Oklahoma because he thought Houston was in Oklahoma.

18) Trump once said: “You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media writes as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”

19) After a nationally televised debate in which he had words with Meghan Kelly, Trump said: You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.”

20) Trump has said: “If Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her."

21) Trump has said about himself: No one respects women more than me. No one reads the Bible more than me.”

22) Trump has said that if Don, Jr., wasn't his son, he'd be dating him.

23) Trump has said that if Rosie O'Donnell wasn't so overweight, he'd "be dating her and would turn her straight."

24) Trump has said: “I think I am actually humble. I think I’m much more humble than you would understand.” After you check the answer, play close attention to No 25.

25) Trump has said all of these things:

"There’s nobody that’s done so much for equality as I have.”
“There’s nobody who feels more strongly about women’s health issues.”
“Nobody knows more about taxes than me, maybe in the history of the world.”
“I am the least racist person you’ll ever meet.”

Bonus Question:
